Renaissance East Midlands is helping museums across the region to create a motivated, appropriately skilled, diverse and outward looking workforce capable of delivering high-quality services for users.
This will be achieved by investing in the Positive Action Traineeships, continuing to invest in the creation of a regional NVQ centre for museums in Lincoln and an NVQ programme for staff and volunteers. Renaissance East Midlands will continue to create a comprehensive training programme and invest in workforce development opportunities.
The workforce development specialist panel, led by Lincolnshire Heritage Service, meets regularly to drive forward workforce development activity across the East Midlands. It brings together the expertise and insight of Renaissance staff, key stakeholders, representatives from the wider museums community and specialists from outside the sector.
