The East Midlands has 23 digital collections available (see links below) either directly through their websites or via the MICHAEL website.

MICHAEL is a website containing a gazetteer of digital collections from 16 European countries. The site contains collection level descriptions and links to different types of content including digital images, virtual reality models, databases, digitised texts, websites and online learning resources. MICHAEL offers a way of marketing digital materials to a range of audiences at a regional, national and international level. MICHAEL data will also be circulated through:
- The Culture 24 website with 25,000 users per day and 10 million visits each year.
- The People's Network Discover Service with one thousand users a day and 350,000 users each year.
